Worldwide Water Systems Inc.:
Waste to Energy Dehydration Systems
The Onix Corporation's dehydration systems are composed of a variable speed anti-bridging wet product feeder; direct fired solid liquid or gaseous fuel burner; triple- or single-pass rotary drum dryer; dried product collection; dried product conveying and dryer pollution control system for particulate, VOC's, odors or hazardous compounds. Controls also display inbound wet production, fuel consumption, dryer inlet, dryer outlet and burner temperatures and cause system safety shut down in case of extremes.

WWSI's Solid Fuel System

The solid fuel system can operate on a number of waste materials such as sawdust, reducing fuel cost to a fraction of conventional fuel. The efficiency of the dryer is enhanced by the triple-pass technology which separate materials by density to give more dwell time to the wettest products. The wet product is delivered to the three-pass drum and dropped into an air stream created by the dryer fan. The three cocentric cyclinders are mechanically interlocked so they rotate at the same speed. As the drum rotates, the product is repeatedly carried to the top of each cylinder by internal and external flights so it is continually showered through the hot gas. Materials give off moisture as they are moved along in the hot gas stream. Great care has been taken to choose the highest quality components that will provide long life and reduce downtime. The drum drive arrangement uses engineering-class bushed roller chain and sprockets, which are specially designed for this type of application.

WWSI's Dehydration System

These dehydration systems can dry a wide variety of products including, but not limited to: activated carbon, aluminum scrap, alfalfa, animal bedding, antibiotic residues, apple pomace, bark, bakery waste, bananas, blood meal, bone, brewers grain, bulgur wheat, canning by-products, cattle feed, citrus pulp, charcoal, chocolate powder, coastal bermuda, coffee grounds, compost, corn cobs, crab scraps, diamond concentrates, distiller's grain, feather meal, fish scrap, fruit waste, hemp, herring meal, iron fillings, iron oxide, kaolin, kelp, lactose, leafy drug plants, lignite, marigold flowers, mustard seed, paper pulp, peat moss, pharmaceuticals, potato products, sawdust, sludges, seaweed, sodium bicarbonate, soybean meal, tobacco, wood shavings, and wood chips.
