These Singlet Oxygen Generator (SOG) Modules are typically utilized for treating and disinfecting potable surface water, treated wastewater from Municipal Facilities, wastewater, cooling tower water, and for Air Purification and Disinfection. These SOG Modules are ideally suited as replacement systems for conventional ozone and ultraviolet systems. The SOG Module utilizes moving gas (air or oxygen) containing normally occurring oxygen into, through and out of the reaction chamber at a moving rate suitable to permit ionization and consequent reaction within the gas as caused while the gas is within the reaction chamber force field. The force field ionizes the gas, which converts the normally occurring oxygen into the constituents of singlet oxygen and ozone. The gas, while it contains these constituents will react with and kill/destroy pathogens, & bacteria, and will oxidize & precipitate dissolved inorganics in fluids as water, oils, wastewater, & process water. In the SOG-WT (Singlet Oxygen Generator for Water Treatment Applications) Module, the dissolved gas species affect and interrupt hydrogen bonding lattice structure between water molecules which results in induced coagulation of TSS, oxidation of organics (destroys microorganisms) and inorganics which results in the disinfection of fluids. In the SOG-AP (Singlet Oxygen Generator for Air Purification Applications) Module, the ionized gas and singlet oxygen species are generated from the contaminated air that is to be treated. This results in the disinfection of the tainted air and destroy airborne microorganisms, viruses & bacteria (originating from molds, from Legionella bacteria from HVAC systems, etc.) and eliminate methane type odors emanating from farms (Dairy Farms, Pig Farms, Chicken Farms etc.). The uniqueness of this module design is that contaminated air is used to generate singlet oxygen while simultaneously destroying airborne microorganisms, viruses & bacteria.
