The Non-Chemical Cooling Tower Treatment System is technologically advanced, operationally simple, cost effective modular systems that produce superior non-chemical (no buying or application of toxic corrosive chemicals) treatment performance. The system integrates Electro-Oxidation, Disinfection and Electro-Coagulation Technology with the best EFD filter system design to insure production of 5 micron quality treated water.

Features and Benefits of the Non-Chemical Treatment System:

  • Reduction of energy costs
    • Heat exchanger electrical energy consumption is reduced by up to 30%.
  • Elimination of maintenance costs
    • Semi-annual maintenance of Chillers is eliminated, resulting in equipment downtime. Besides the elimination of labor, chemicals and cleaning brushes, human exposure to corosive chemicals is eliminated. Besides the elimination of cooling tower treatment system labor, cost and handling of treatment chemicals is eliminated.
  • Elimination of treatment chemical costs
    • The treatment process eliminates the need and cost of treatment chemicals. This also eliminates the handling, storage and associated liability when using corrosive chemicals.
  • Reduction of makeup water usage and cost
    • The makeup water volume and cost is reduced by up to 50%. The treatment process increases the cycles of concentration and thereby reduces the makeup water requirements.
  • Reduction and/or near elimination of bacteria
    • Bacteria log plate count is reduced from the typical range of 1 million - 100 million colonies/ ml. to 10 - 1 thousand cells/ml. contamination.
  • Scale removal and control
    • Existing scale in the cooling loop and chillers is eliminated by the oxidation and removal of the biological-binding agents. New scale production is eliminated by preventing biological activity in the water and maintaining water chemistry within operational range of the EIMS Treatment System.
  • Corrosion Reduction
    • The treatment process eliminates "under deposit" bacteria and Control resulting in the elimination of under scale and under deposit corrosion. The treatment process reduces the available surface area for spontaneous oxidation of metals. In addition, by controlling the operational parameters of pH, Total Hardness, Silica and conductivity, the treatment process controls corrosivity of the cooling loop water.
